We are delighted to announce that Fielding Graduate University has established the Fielding Dreamfish Fellows Fund. The partnership between Dreamfish and Fielding is pioneering a new model for funding social impact and service education. Nonprofit institutions offer opportunities to their grantees and donors through the establishing of Dreamfish Fellows Funds. Dreamfish members benefit through the support of Dreamfish Fellows participation in Dreamfish Service Teams.

The Fielding Dreamfish Fellows Fund has been founded by alumna Julie Anding, PhD (Human and Organization Development '09) and her partner, Lisa Kornetsky, who have donated $5,000, which is to be matched dollar for dollar by Julie's employer Harley-Davidson, for a total contribution of $10,000 to Fielding’s Institute for Social Innovation (ISI). Julie’s generous gift has established the Fielding Dreamfish Fellowship Fund to sponsor students and alumni as Dreamfish Fellows.

The mission of Dreamfish Fellows Program is to provide a graduate level service learning opportunity to advance practiioners to apply their leadership skills to develop Dreamfish as an inclusive, effective distributed work and transformative learning community for social impact. Mentored by  leaders in community development and training in collaboration technology, Fellows will learn, implement and refine best practices that facilitate the learning and development of Dreamfish members.  Fellows begin by joining the community leadership planning summit on June 2-6, 2010.

About Dreamfish

A person-to-person work cooperative owned by members, Dreamfish enables each member to start a micro-business or NGO with zero capital, hire and exchange services in an online marketplace, manage collaborative projects, learn in local in-person peer groups, events and coaching.  Dreamfish is staffed by Dreamfish members on four continents and was founded in San Francisco. Cooperative members use many ways to connect: by web, phone, Skype, in-person events, and at the kitchen table.
