welcome:
KCCC Provides Computer access, Internet access, a digital Library, and General IT training. We look to both provide technical Computer skills as well as enhance the general education experience of students. Out target sectors are education (Primary/ Secondary students and Teachers), small business and Organisations, Health and agriculture in this local rural area.
What value can we create together? e.g. learning, income, impact:
- Trainings regarding the use of IT for students and the benefits that can be reaped if properly implemented given to parents and teachers from five local schools (April 2008)
-Teaching of general computer knowledge as well as educational support for primary and secondary students (May-November 2008)
-Improve the overall membership of primary and secondary students, especially targeting girls, in 2008.
-Improving the academic results of all students enrolled simultaneously in a partner school and the KCCC in 2008.
-Improve the long-term membership prospects by integrating the curriculum of local schools into Kasambya Community Computer Centre, thus ensuring the sustainability of the project
-Improve the overall income of the centre long-term such that a cash reserve can be kept for maintenance costs and expansion plans.
-Increased awareness amongst teachers and headmasters about how computers can improve the performance of their students
