Dreamish is a global work cooperative. Our mission is to connect people to human work to empower dreams and change lives. As we do, we alleviate poverty.
We help each other as we help ourselves. Dreamfish offers you a work community of like-minded people, a Marketplace and a Project Hub for project work, and peer groups and events to support your development
--> Learn about how Dreamfish works
Dreamfish has a few meanings. 1. We dream as in Martin Luther King's "I have a dream", and we fish our dreams through getting stuff done. 2. Engaging our diversity makes us stronger. Some of us are more dreamers. Some of us are more fishers. Working together, we dreamfish. 3. The words, dream and fish, are also used in many cultures to reference a life-affirming sense of something larger than ourselves.
A cooperative enterprise is a democratic legal structure, where each member is an equal owner, and has 1 vote as a decision maker. A member is not just a consumer or a worker. Rather, we as members are all consumers/workers/leaders. Over 800 million people globally are cooperative members, and cooperatives provide more jobs than multi-national corporations. The United Nation estimates that half the world's population has been made more secure by cooperative enterprise. Cooperatives are also known for being resilient organizations, often sustaining over 100 years. For more information, see the International Cooperatives Alliance
In fifity years, we see Dreamfish enabling millions of people to create sustainable work. Our vision for sustainable work is expressed in our Humanifesto.
To deliver services to members, Dreamfish as a solution is built of three components: 1) community-based human and organization development 2) relational technology 3) economic empowerment model.
