Open Source

When you participate in an open source software project, you create economic and learning opportunities for humanity and yourself. While gaining new skills, you create access to tools for users who otherwise would not have access.

Community is the bedrock of open source projects. To support strong projects, Dreamfish offers Project support and Service Learning.

Project support

Provide community to volunteers. Many people volunteer to work on an open source project to belong to something that makes a difference. Working in a loose network of production, it is critical to ground the project in a trust community of like-minded people for scaling the project, learning and knowledge sharing.

 Service Learning

Want to get involved in improving the project infrastructure here? Awesome. Our current projects involve extending ELGG, Etherpad, Mailman, offline and mobile integration. We build in a user-centered Agile approach.

Want to be a mentor in a peer community of mentors? For senior designers, developers and product managers, we offer a senior Fellows program.

Peer Groups

In 2011, Dreamfish will offer facilitated peer groups, which enables you to learn with peers across different OS projects.  You can step outside your day-to-day group to reflect on what you're learning in the company of people who get it and share their experience. Sign up on Dreamfish-announce list for updates.
